THE WAR ON SUMMER BOREDOM Trust me, I know the lovely sounds of the impending war upstairs when the kids decide they had enough video games, outside fun, books, crafts and they are ready to commit hairy cary! I remember cringing when I would hear the first yell of protest and the loud slamming of the doors. When the dust settled and I brought them down for the inevitable 'mom trial', listening to both sides and providing the neutral wisdom needed to diffuse the situation, the cause became clear. It wasn't due to one or the other intentionally TRYING to hurt their sibling. It was simply due to being BORED.
