Giving back to the schools has always been a mission as a mom. We are constantly dealing with fundraisers and drives to encourage raising funds for various activities and needs of the school. I didn't realize the proliferation of this until I became a mom. I can understand, this becomes overwhelming.
Another overwhelming situation is always the excess of clothes. Kids grow so fast and it seems like we are always cycling out clothes all the time. Until this point, I typically donate the bags of hardly worn clothes (you know you have them too) to my local charities. However, after discovering Schoola, I may change my direction of donation.
That's when I saw Schoola as a really great option. In fact, when I go to PTO meetings this year, I will be suggesting a clothing drive to utilize Schoola. Here is why. Schoola is a website that collects clothing, resells it at 70% off retail, then gives 40% of those sales to schools. When you request a bag you simply fill out the preselected school you would like your funds to go to, and then it's already addressed and you simply fill it and stick it back in the mail.
The selection on Schoola is top notch, from Abercrombie, DKNY, True Religion, and many more. They also include several new brands that help their mainline causes, right now it's music in schools. (Who wouldn't love that?) These new brands include Atheleta, Guess, Children's Place, Mod, and many more.
The orders I received came quickly. The clothes were in great shape and were clean and not stained or damaged. Each order came with a bag I could fill to contribute to my local school. My kids loved their clothes I chose for them and they came looking like brand new.
